U-boats

The battle

The convoy was spotted by the new outbound U-boat U-705 while joining wolf pack Lachs looking for westbound convoy ON-120. Only few boats managed to reach attack positions (U-705 sank one, U-605 missed freighter and U-256 also missed a freighter).

U-256 was shelled by an escort but escaped. Operations against SC-95 was surprisingly cancelled the next day in order to search for westbound (and thus empty) convoy ON-120.
