Fate

Sunk on 11 March 1944 at the Missiessy Docks in Toulon, France, in position 43.07N, 05.55E, by bombs during US air raid (15th AF).

Wreck captured by Free French forces in August 1944 at Quay Noel in Toulon and broken up in 1946.

General notes on this boat

2 Jan 1943. On 2 Jan. 1943 the boat saved 80 survivors from the sunken German blockade-runner Rhakotis, returning to St. Nazaire the day after.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-410 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
