Sunk on 13 December 1944 in the Norwegian Sea east of Jan Mayen Island, in position 70.43N, 08.07E, by depth charges from two Swordfish aircraft (813 Sqn FAA/L & Q) of the British escort carrier HMS Campania. 50 dead (all hands lost).
