Previously recorded fate

  • Sunk 24 June 1943 south of Iceland, in position 58.15N, 25.25W, by depth charges from a British Liberator aircraft (Sqdn. 120/H). (Postwar assessment)
Notes. This attack in fact resulted in the sinking of U-200.

Men lost from U-boats

Unlike many other U-boats, which during their service lost men due to accidents and various other causes, U-194 did not suffer any casualties (we know of) until the time of her loss.
