Formed U-boat group 3 (Bergen) together with U-9, U-56, U-60 and U-62 for Operation Weseruebung, the German invasion of Denmark and Norway. On 14 April, the boat entered Bergen to resupply from the depot ship Carl Peters. Later patrolled off Frohavet, Norway.
