19 Nov 1940. At 0051hrs Kptlt. Schepke, U-100, sighted a British convoy. Following his report U-47 reached the convoy three hours later, and fired five torpedoes, which all missed.

Attacks on U-100 during this patrol

After a successful attack on convoy SC 11 in the Atlantic west of Ireland, star shells from a destroyer forced U-100 to dive. The depth charging that then followed disabled the hydrophones. (Sources: Ritschel)
