Diving report:
This is the deepest dive so far undertaken on the Deadlight expeditions. We spent the morning using the magnetometer to confirm other information we possess. We located four wrecks, two of which we were certain were submarines. However at nearly 100 metres, we opted for another position, which we thought may be a submarine. Its position, near to the official position for the sinking of the type IID U-149 encouraged us to give it a go. In the event we found a steamer, a certain U-boat victim for WW1. The wreck is very broken up.
Comments:
We plan to search U-825 tomorrow, then make a second dive on U-861.

| Operation Deadlight Expedition II Day One: 4 May, 2002 - Diving on the U-1271 since U-861 is hard to locate. Day Two: 5 May, 2002 - The broken down wreck of U-1009, plus the Laurentic. Day Nine: 14 May, 2002 - No diving due to poor weather conditions. Day Ten: 15 May, 2002 - Another visit on the type XXI boat U-2506. Day Eleven: 16 May, 2002 - Dropping onto the U-1271.
