Summary

In this made-for-TV movie, a U-boat is on its way to Japan to deliver a cargo of plutonium when news of the German surrender is received. The U-boat, with its combined German and Japanese crew, can still be considered at war with the allies since Japan has not yet surrendered. The captain must make the decision whether to deliver the plutonium so that Japan might be the first to complete the atomic bomb, or to surrender along with the rest of the U-boats.

Based on the last journey of U-234. The boat used in this movie was a Whiskey-class submarine.
