HMS Kingston Onyx (Lt. R. Walgate, RNR) picks up 30 survivors from the British merchant Empire Thunder that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-124 about 100 nautical miles north-northeast of Rockall, in position 59°14'N, 12°43'W.
2 Jun 1943
HrMs O 14 (Lt.Cdr. H.A.W. Goossens, RNN) conducted A/S exercises in the Firth of Forth with HMS Brimness (Skr. A.E. Larner, RNR), HMS Kingston Onyx, HMS Polka (T/Lt. I.A. Thorpe, MBE, RNVR) and HMS Berkshire (Skr. G. Bruce, RNR). (1)
6 Oct 1943
HMS Uther (Lt. P.S. Beale, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Dundee with HMS Kingston Onyx (T/Lt. W.C. Morgans, RNR) and HMS Kingston Topaz (Ch.Skr. J.E. Harwood, RD, RNR). (2)

With the repairs completed, HMS Statesman (Lt. R.G.P. Bulkeley, RN), departed Liverpool for Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS Kingston Onyx (Skr. H.L. Gladwell, RNR). (3)
