HMS Kingston Onyx (Lt. R. Walgate, RNR) picks up 30 survivors from the British merchant Empire Thunder that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-124 about 100 nautical miles north-northeast of Rockall, in position 59°14'N, 12°43'W.
ASW Trawler HMS Vascama (FY 185)
25 Aug 1941 (position 61.30, -15.30)
German U-boat U-452 was sunk in the North Atlantic south of Iceland, in position 61°30'N, 15°30'W, by depth charges from the British A/S trawler HMS Vascama and from a British Catalina aircraft (209 Sqn RAF/J).
