They were escorted by HMS ML 300 (T/Lt. F.C.R. Piesse, RNVR) until 0635/12 when HMS Loch Monteith (T/Lt. K.W. Richardson, RNR) took over the escort. (2)

HMS Uther (Lt. P.S. Beale, RN) arrived at Holy Loch to begin a period of trials and training.
It soon became apparent that Uther had serious defects to her conning tower casting. These could not be made good in under three months. Uther was therefore limited to A/S training duties. (2)
