HMS Storm (Lt. R.A.A.C. Ward, DSC, RN) arrived at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for a refit. When the war with Japan ended she was still undergoing this refit that ended on 19 September 1945.
Storm arrived back in the U.K. (Holy Loch) on 7 October 1945. She was placed in reserve at Harwich on 3 December 1945. (16)
