HMS Boadicea (Lt.Cdr. G.B. Kingdon, RN) and HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) sail from Boulogne with the Prime Minister, War cabinet and Chief of Staff for Dover.

HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) destroyed a German Junkers JU-87 by pom-pom fire.
13 Sep 1940
During the night of 13/14 September 1940 the destroyers HMS Highlander (Cdr. W.A. Dallmeyer, RN), HMS Harvester (Lt.Cdr. M. Thornton, RN), HMS Bulldog (Lt.Cdr. F.J.G. Hewitt, RN) and HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) bombard Cherbourg in a sweep through the Seine Bay.

German U-boat U-99 torpedoed and sank the British merchant Casanare about 240 nautical miles west-southwest of Bloody Foreland in position 53°58'N, 14°13'W. HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) later picks up 54 survivors.
5 Nov 1940
HMS Beagle (Lt.Cdr. R.H. Wright, RN) picks up 28 survivors from the British tanker Scottish Maiden that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-99 about 225 nautical miles west by south of Bloody Foreland in position 54°36'N, 14°23'W.
