Being a member of the "Friends of the U-boat Archive," I find it very disappointing to find former U-boat seamen cannot get a formal military funeral in Germany. As this site so eloquently displays, these men were all valiant sailors and deserve the respect this website affords them, and more.

Just a short note to compliment you on the excellent content of the uboat.net Web site. If only more so-called "information" sites on the Web were like this! Not only is the data comprehensive and seemingly well-researched, but the format is logical and easy to use. I particularly like the focus on U-Boat crew experiences, which makes the whole subject come alive by the insight it gives into true life stories.

Oh ! Boy.......absolutely brilliant.

I was a Shackleton "skipper" based at Ballykelly and then Malta, and I used to 'chase' Russian subs for a living !!

FANTASTIC site.

Well Done

May I add my congratulations to the many you have already received on your fabulous site.

Beautifully presented , with such high quality images, it is without doubt one of the best sites on the entire Net, on ANY subject and is certainly THE site for anyone interested in the U-boats. I will without doubt be a regular visitor!

This is, of course, just a fraction of supportive letters uboat.net has received.
