| Boa Vista under Capt. A.Lopes had left Bordeaux on Dec.20th in a convoy escorted by patrol boats Sauterelle and Albatros. Dunring thr following night, at 1.15 am, she was hit by a torpedo on the staarboard side a little bit ahead of the bridge. Captain ordered to abandon ship and crew was picked up by Sauterelle. However, as the ship did not seem to sink, it was then decided to tow her to the coast of Ile d\'Yeu. While doing so, she was struck a second time by a torpedo and then sank very quickly, drowning 2 men. (B.de Maisonneuve)- See also http://www.wrecksite.eu/wreck.aspx?86360
