| Leca, Capt. F.Predade, had left Cardiff for St Nazaire on Dec.13th. The following day, when about 12 to 14 m. NNW of Ile d’Yeu, and navigating in company of SS Glencoe bound for Bordeaux, ships were attacked by UC 18 who started firing at them. Both Captains evacuated and UC 18 sank Leca with 14 shells before firing at Glencoe who was finally achieved by a torpedo. (B de Maisonneuve).
