History | Captured on the slipway by the Germans on 9th September 1943. Renamed UI-3. Scuttled at Genoa on 24th April 1945. Salvaged postwar and used as oil hulk. In 2011, her conning tower was exposed at the Caserna Angelo Paolucci (also the site of the Ufficio Storico Della Marina Militare) in 2011. It was transferred to Gaeta in 2016 as part of a monument to submariners. |
