H.M.C.S.One Photographer's Impressions of the Royal Canadian Navy in W.W. 2By Milne, Gilbert A.
Descripton: A pictorial record of the RCN in World War II compiled for its 50th anniversary in 1960. Milne, who as a Lieutenant in the RCN never fired a shot in anger, saw most of the glory and the terror of battle that the RCN was involved in through his viewfinder from 1939 to 1945. The result is Milne's very personal record of the men and the ships he admired so much. Forward by H.G. DeWolf, Vice Admiral, R.C.N., Chief of the Naval Staff, May11, 1960. |
