The last weeks of war are recounted and the fight for survival in a defeated country. The destruction of the German shipbuilding industry is reported in detail as well as the start of the first new private shipyard out of the debris of the Naval shipyards. Reads like romantic fiction, yet has the genuine ring of historical truth.
