In position 08°39'N, 58°46'W USS PC-576 picks up three survivors from the Dutch passenger ship Zaandam that was torpedoed and sunk on 2 November 1942 !!! by German U-boat U-174 about 300 miles north of Cape Sao Roque, Brazil in position 01°25'N, 36°22'W.
