USS Iowa (Capt. J.L. McCrea, USN) fuelled at sea from USS Atascosa (Cdr. H.L. de Riviera, USN).

(The log of USS Atascosa mentions that she only fuelled destroyers on this day but the log of Iowa mentions that she fuelled from the Atascosa).

18 Aug 1945
USS Iowa (Capt. C. Wellborn, Jr., USN) topped off two of the destroyers of the Task Group, USS Cushing (Lt.Cdr. W.D. Adams, USN) and USS Buchanan (Lt.Cdr. D.E. Henry, USN), with fuel. Following the fuelling of these destroyers Iowa herself was fuelled by the oiler USS Atascosa (Cdr. H.L. de Riviera, USN).
