Harold Geeves Chesterman, DSC and Bar, RNR) after three minutes, causing her to sink fast north of Tory Island in position 55º27'N, 08º12'W. The corvette was part of the Escort Group B1 which was searching the area for the U-boat that had attacked the convoy CU-36 on 30 August. The survivors were picked up by HMS Ambuscade (D 38) (Lt J.
