Around 1530B/13, HMS Taku (Lt. A.J.W. Pitt, RN) departed Plymouth for Holy Loch. She made the passage together with HMS H 32 (Lt. T.G. Ridgeway, RN) that was to proceed to Rothesay. They were escorted by HMS Damsay (T/Lt. A.M. Sullivan, RNVR). (1)
13 Sep 1943
HMS Una (Lt. W.G. Meeke, DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Milford Haven with HMS Fiaray (T/Lt. M.G. King, SANF(V)), HMS Bern (T/Lt. E.S. Brookes, RNVR) and HMS Damsay (T/Lt. A.M. Sullivan, RNVR). (2)
14 Sep 1943
HMS Una (Lt. W.G. Meeke, DSC, RN) conducted gunnery exercises off Milford Haven on a target towed by HMS Damsay (T/Lt. A.M. Sullivan, RNVR). (2)
25 Aug 1944
HMS Pennywort (Lt. W.P. Hart, RNR) and HMS Damsay together pick up 59 survivors from the British merchant Orminster that was torpedoed and sunk by the Germans submarine U-480 in the English Channel about 35 nautical miles northwest of Cap d?Antifer in position 50°09'N, 00°44'W.
