Returned to her owner between April and June 1945.
Renamed Arctic Crusader in 1946.
Renamed Mountbatten in 1947.
Wrecked south of Bodo, Norway on 28 January 1949.
Sunk while under tow to the Elbe estuary.

11 Mar 1940
Convoy MT 28 (21 ships) departed Methil for the Tyne where it arrived the next day. It was escorted by trawlers from the 19th A/S Group (This group was made up of four A/S trawlers; HMS Greenfly (Cdr.(Retd.) D.A. Stride, RN), HMS Lord Lloyd (Lt.Cdr. F.J.G. Jones, RNR), HMS Lord Plender (Ch.Skr. J.M.T. Brebner, RNR) and HMS Stella Pegasi (Skr. J.H.D. Dansie, RNR). This last trawler was in dockyard hand at Leith and therefore could not have been part of the escort). The destroyers destroyers HMS Jervis (Capt. P.J. Mack, RN) and HMS Jaguar (Lt.Cdr. J.F.W. Hine, RN) were also part of the escort. (1)

5 Feb 1941
HMS Cachalot (Cdr. J.D. Luce, DSO, RN) departed Holy Loch for her 9th war patrol. She was ordered to lay a minefield off Norway. The position was to be signalled later.

She was escorted north by HMS Cutty Sark (Cdr.(Retd.) R.H. Mack, RN) until 1200/7 when HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. E. Steedman, RNR) took over the escort until 0200/8.

As no log for this period is available no map can be displayed. (2)

3 Jan 1942
HrMs O 14 (Lt.Cdr. G. Quint, RNN(R)) departed Scapa Flow for her 4th war patrol. She was to proceed to a position of Hovden, Norway where she was to act as a beacon for the British destroyers HMS Inglefield (Capt. P. Todd, DSO, RN) and HMS Intrepid (Lt.Cdr. J.H. Lewes, DSC, RN), that were to conduct a raid on German shipping in that area [Operation Kitbag].

O 14 was escorted to the North-West of the Shetlands by the British ASW trawler HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. F.S. Howell, RNR). (3)

27 Feb 1942
At 1700 hours, HMS P 37 (Lt. H. Winter, RN), made contact with her escort towards Dundee, HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. F.S. Howell, RNR). (4)

18 Jun 1942
HMS P 45 (Lt. H.B. Turner, RN) participated in A/S exercises off Scapa Flow with HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. F.S. Howell, RNR) and another trawler. (5)

30 Jul 1942
HMS P 45 (Lt. H.B. Turner, RN) departed Scapa Flow for Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. F.S. Howell, RNR). (6)

1 Aug 1942
HMS Sturgeon (Lt.Cdr. M.R.G. Wingfield, RN) departed Holy Loch for Lerwick. She was escorted by HrMs Jan van Gelder (Lt. P.L.M. van Geen, RNN). On 3 August HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. F.S. Howell, RNR) took over the escort. (7)

6 Jun 1943
HMS Untiring (Lt. R. Boyd, DSC, RN) departed Blyth for Holy Loch. She was initially escorted by HMS ML 300 (CO ?) until 1600 hours when HMS ML 454 (T/Lt. W.M. Russell, RNVR) took over the escort.

At 0635/7 HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. T.G. Hornsby, RNR) took over the escort and finally at 1740/7 HMS Sabre (Lt. R.L. Caple, DSC, RN) took over the escort. (8)

13 Jul 1944
HMS Shakespeare (Lt. D. Swanston, DSC and Bar, RN) conducted A/S exercises at Scapa Flow, first with HMS Stella Pegasi (T/Lt. C.D.M. Grierson, RNVR), HMS Kingston Topaz (Skr.Lt. J.E. Harwood, RD, RNR) and later with HMS Myngs (Capt. M.L. Power, CBE, RN). (9)
