11 Mar 1940
Convoy MT 28 (21 ships) departed Methil for the Tyne where it arrived the next day. It was escorted by trawlers from the 19th A/S Group (This group was made up of four A/S trawlers; HMS Greenfly (Cdr.(Retd.) D.A. Stride, RN), HMS Lord Lloyd (Lt.Cdr. F.J.G. Jones, RNR), HMS Lord Plender (Ch.Skr. J.M.T. Brebner, RNR) and HMS Stella Pegasi (Skr. J.H.D. Dansie, RNR). This last trawler was in dockyard hand at Leith and therefore could not have been part of the escort). The destroyers destroyers HMS Jervis (Capt. P.J. Mack, RN) and HMS Jaguar (Lt.Cdr. J.F.W. Hine, RN) were also part of the escort. (1)

12 Nov 1942
HMS H 43 (Lt. B.J.B. Andrew, DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Tobermory with HMS Lord Plender (Skr. G.T. Lilley, DSC, RNR) and HMS Sheppey (T/A/Lt.Cdr. D. McNeil, RNVR). (2)

22 Jan 1945
Around 2250A/22, HMS Tally-Ho (Cdr. L.W.A. Bennington, DSO and Bar, DSC and Bar, RN) arrived at Harwich from Portsmouth.

Around 0850A/22, HMS Lord Plender (A/Skr.Lt. J.W. Shell, RNR) had taken over the escort duties from HMS Flint (T/Lt. G. Muego, RNVR). (3)

24 Jan 1945
Around 0845A/24, HMS Tally-Ho (Cdr. L.W.A. Bennington, DSO and Bar, DSC and Bar, RN) departed Harwich for Blyth. She was escorted by HMS Lord Plender (A/Skr.Lt. J.W. Shell, RNR). (3)

5 Feb 1945
HMS Sceptre (Lt. H.J. Bartlett, DSC, RN) departed Sheerness for Dundee. She was escorted by HMS Lord Plender (A/Skr.Lt. J.W. Shell, RNR). (4)
