HMS Oberon (Lt.Cdr. J.A.S. Wise, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Portland with HMS Le Tiger (Skr. A.R. Lewis, RNR) and HMS Lady Beryl (Skr. R.W. Slater, RNR).

HMS H 34 (Lt. W.A. Phillimore, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Lough Foyle together with HMS Rockingham (Lt.Cdr. A.H.T. Johns, RN), HMS Sandwich (Lt.Cdr.(Emgy.) R.C. Gervers, RN) and HMS Le Tiger (T/Lt. C.A. Hoodless, RNR). (4)
3 Jul 1942
HMS Le Tiger (T/Lt. C.A. Hoodless, RNR) picks up 31 survivors of the American merchant Alexander Macomb that was torpedoed and sunk by German U-boat U-215 east of Cape Cod in position 41°48'N, 66°35'W. Shortly afterwards U-215 was sunk in position 41°48'N, 66°38'W by depth charges from HMS Le Tiger.
On 13 July 2004 it is reported that the wreck of U-215 was found.

HMS P 614 (Lt. H.W. Wilkinson, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Freetown together with HMS Orfasy (T/A/Skr.Lt. G.A. Whichello, DSC, RNR), HMS Le Tiger (T/Lt. C.A. Hoodless, RNR) and HMS Viviana (Skr. R. Trueman, RNR). (5)
