History

Status changed to in commission, in reserve on 14 May 1946 at the Reserve Fleet, Orange, Texas
Decommissioned 3 March 1947 at Orange, Texas
Sold in February 1955 to be used as a Greek cargo ship, renamed, Manoula
Sold again in September 1964 to a Texas Consortium for use as an offshore radio station and renamed M/V Galaxy
The British offshore radio station she housed was named Radio London 266 metres mw AKA (Wonderful Big 'L'). This station was based on the famous KLIF Dallas and jingles were by PAMS of Dallas. This was the most successful ship-bourne station of the 1960's and she was well-loved and cared for by here then keepers. Sold for scrap in 1970
Sunk in the shipyard of Howaldswerke-Deutsche Werft, Kiel, Germany
Raised in August 1986 and scrapped.
