History | During August 1959 HMS Hogue was struck by the Indian cruiser Mysore (ex R.N. HMS Nigeria) whilst on a night exercise which resulted in the Hogue to lose her bow. One rating was killed and three were injured. She was towed to Singapore, and owing to the amount of damage and age of the ship she was sold for scrap. Scrapping at Singapore started on 7 March 1962. |
