History

HMS Delight (Cdr. Mark Fogg-Elliott, RN) was sunk by bombs from German aircraft off Portland on 29 July 1940. She had just completed a refit at Portsmouth and was en-route to the Clyde.

The wreck of HMS Delight lies at a depth of approximately 60 meters, broken in half and upside down. Shell cases used to litter the seabed around her, but most have now been recovered. It is possible to get inside the forward section.
