Decommissioned, stricken and transferred to Turkey 30 November 1970 being renamed Murat Reis (S-336).

The submarine returned to the United States in June 2004 to be put on permanent display at the North Little Rock maritime museum (offsite link)

13 Jun 1944
During 13 to 15 June 1944, USS Baya (Cdr. A.H. Holtz, USN), conducted exercises in Long Island Sound with USS Semmes (Cdr. R.L. Wilson, USN), USS SC-679 (Lt.(jg) D.A. Replogle, USNR) and USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson, USN).

20 Aug 1944
USS Bergall (Cdr. J.M. Hyde, USN) conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Canfield (Lt.Cdr. P.E. Cherry, USNR), USS Charles R. Greer (Cdr. A. Jackson, Jr., USNR) and USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson, USN).

Upon completion of these exercises Bergall was docked at Pearl Harbour.

21 Aug 1944
USS Bergall (Cdr. J.M. Hyde, USN) was undocked.

She then conducted exercises off Pearl Harbour together with USS Carlson (Lt.Cdr. J.A. Stapleton, USNR), USS Greiner (Lt.Cdr. L.H. Kiser, USN), USS Allen (Lt. W.J. Riley, Jr., USNR) and USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson, USN).

25 Aug 1944
USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 1st war patrol. She was ordered to patrol east of Luzon.

19 Oct 1944
USS Razorback (Cdr. R.S. Benson) ended her 1st war patrol at Midway.

15 Nov 1944
USS Razorback (Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown) departed from Midway for her 2nd war patrol. She was ordered to patrol in Luzon Strait.

7 Dec 1944
USS Razorback (Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown) torpedoed and sank the Japanese army cargo ship Kenjo Maru (6933 GRT) off the north coast of Luzon, Philippines in position 18°57'N, 120°58'E.

30 Dec 1944
USS Razorback (Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown) torpedoed and sank the Japanese destroyer Kuretake (900 tons, offsite link) in the Bashii Channel in position 21°00'N, 121°24'E.

5 Jan 1945
USS Razorback (Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown) ended her 2nd war patrol at Guam.

USS Razorback (Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown) departed from Pearl Harbor for her 4th war patrol. She was ordered to patrol to the east and south of Honshu, Japan

At 2204K/5, USS Dragonet (T/Capt. J.H. Lewis, USN) and USS Razorback (T/Lt.Cdr. C.D. Brown, USN) made rendezvous. Five rescued aviators were then transferred to USS Dragonet by USS Razorback.
