HMS Truant (Lt. E.C. Croswell, DSC, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Larne, most likely with ships of the 2nd Escort Group which was made up of the sloops HMS Starling (Capt. F.J. Walker, CB, DSO and 2 Bars, RN), HMS Wild Goose (Lt.Cdr. D.E.G. Wemyss, DSC and Bar, RN), HMS Wren (Lt.Cdr. S.R.J. Woods, RNR) and the frigates HMS Dominica (Cdr. N.W. Duck, DSC, RD, RNR), HMS Loch Fada (Lt.Cdr. B.A. Rogers, RD, RNR) and HMS Lochy (Lt.Cdr. W.J. Roberts, RNR). [HMS Loch Killin (Lt.Cdr. S. Darling, RANVR), which was also part of this group seems not to have been present as she was at Liverpool.]

HMS Truant also made a practice attack on HMS Starling. (3)

German U-boat U-333 was sunk in the North Atlantic west of the Scilly Isles, in position 49°39'N, 07°28'W, by depth charges from the British sloop HMS Starling (Cdr. N.W. Duck, DSC, RNR) and the British frigate HMS Loch Killin (Lt.Cdr. S. Darling, RANVR).

6 Aug 1944
German U-boat U-736 was sunk in the Bay of Biscay south-west of Lorient, France, in position 47°19'N, 04°16'W, by depth charges from the British frigate HMS Loch Killin (Lt.Cdr. S. Darling, RANVR).

6 Nov 1944
HrMs O 15 (Lt. R.W. van Lynden, RNN) conducted A/S exercises off Campbeltown with HMS Loch Killin (Lt.Cdr. S. Darling, RANVR) and HMS Wallflower (T/Lt. A.C. Martyn, RNVR). (4)

11 Apr 1945
