History

Decommissioned 17 October 1934.

In 1939-40 she was converted into seaplane-tender, and she was recommissioned as AVD-6 on 2 August 1940. She was at Pearl Harbor at the time of the Japanese attack, shot down one torpedo bomber, and participated in the rescue-operations after the attack.

In 1943 she was reconverted and was redesignated DD-342 on 1 December 1943. She was decommissioned on 2 November 1945, stricken on 28 november 1945 and sold for scrap on 31 October 1946.

USS Hulbert recived 2 Battle Stars for her services during WW2.
