Requisitioned by the Admiralty in October 1940 while in Canada.
Converted to Ocean boarding vessel at Bermuda completing in April 1941.

Speed: 14 knots.

HMS Lady Somers (Cdr. George Learmouth Dunbar, RD, RNR) was torpedoed and sunk in the North Atlantic by the Italian submarine Morosini on 15 July 1941.
