USS Barton, USS Ingraham and USS Moale arrive at Saipan.

4 May 1945
While serving with the fleet in the Okinawa area USS Ingraham (Cdr. John Francis Harper, JR.) is damaged by a Japanese kamikaze aircraft in position 27°10'N, 127°58'E. The damaged Ingraham was sent to the Hunters Point Navy Yard at San Francisco for repairs.
