History	Cassin was almost completely destroyed in the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941, She was decommissioned the same day. Her equipment was salvaged from her hulk and was taken to the Mare Island Navy Yard at Vallejo, California, where Cassin was completely rebuilt in a new hull, recommissioning on 6 February 1944. Decommissioned 17 December 1945. Stricken 28 January 1947. Sold 25 November 1947 and broken up for scrap.
