The Italian Navy sold it to an Italian shipping company and she was renamed Michael Parma. In 1946 the ship landed up in the hands of the ‘Mosad le Aliyah Bet’, one of the forces smuggling holocost surviors to Israel/Palestine. After the creation of the state of Israel, it became part of the Israeli Navy. In 1968 it became a museum in Haifa, Israel where she remains to this day. (1)
