29 May 1945
HMS Spark (Lt. D.G. Kent, RN) departed Subic Bay for her 5th war patrol (4th in the Far East and 3rd in the South-West Pacific area). She was ordered to patrol to the East of Singapore. This patrol included air/sea rescue duties.
Before proceeding on patrol exercises were carried out with HMS Stygian (Lt. G.S.C. Clarabut, DSO, RN) and USS Rolf (Lt.Cdr. L.E. Hubbell, USNR). (1)
31 May 1945
USS Caiman (Lt.Cdr. W.L. Fey, Jr., USN) made a short call at Subic Bay for fuel and provisions. She departed later the same day for a patrol area to the west of Borneo. She was escorted in and out by USS Rolf (Lt.Cdr. L.E. Hubbell, USNR).
14 Jun 1945
USS Bumper (Cdr. J.W. Williams, Jr., USN) ended her 1st war patrol at Subic Bay, Philippines. She was escorted in by USS Rolf (Lt.Cdr. L.E. Hubbell, USNR).
At Subic Bay she was refitted by a relief crew from Submarine Division 261 and USS Anthedon.
