HMS Dainty (Cdr. F.M. Walton, RN) departed Malta for Bizerta. She was escorting the motor torpedo boats HMS MTB 1, HMS MTB 3, HMS MTB 4, HMS MTB 6, HMS MTB 14, HMS MTB 15, HMS MTB 16, HMS MTB 18 and HMS MTB 19.
HMS MTB 3 and HMS MTB 4 developed engine problems and both returned to Malta.
All the other ships arrived at Bizerta later the same day. (1)
