HMS Stubborn (Lt. A.A. Duff, DSC, RN) departed Campbeltown for Larne. On leaving the Clyde, HMS ML 249 (T/Lt. H.W. Evans, RNVR), joined as escort. (1)

HMS Stubborn (Lt. A.A. Duff, DSC, RN) departed Larne for Holy Loch. She was escorted by HMS ML 249 (T/Lt. H.W. Evans, RNVR) until off the Clyde. (1)
21 Jul 1944
HMS Upshot (Lt. H.W. Wilkinson, RN) conducted A/S exercises off Larne with HMS Allington Castle (T/A/Lt.Cdr. W.G. Ogden, DSC, RNVR). Upon completion of these HMS Upshot proceeded to Holy Loch escorted by HMS ML 249 (T/Lt. H.W. Evans, RNVR). (2)
