HMS P 615 (Lt. C.W.St.C. Lambert, DSC and Bar, RN) departed Freetown for Simonstown, South Africa via Takoradi. During the passage to Takoradi she was escorted by the British motor minesweeper HMS MMS-107 (Skr. H.J. Craven, RNR).
