Whaler of Southern Whaling & Sealing Co. Ltd., Stanley, Falkland Islands, requisitioned by the Admiralty in March 1940.
Displacement: 328 tons.

On 3 March 1945, HMS Southern Flower (Skipper George William Brown, RNR) was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-1022 off Reykjavik, Iceland in position 64º05'N, 23º15'W. (25 dead, 1 survivor, the Commanding Officer)
