Notes on class | Range 6500 nautical miles at 12 knots. These destroyers were based on the previous Gridley class but had the power plants of the older Mahan class making them slower than the Gridleys. All 8 of them were located at Pearl Harbor on 7 Dec 1941 as Destroyer Squadron Four. They fought throughout the war in the Pacific and were scrapped after the war in 1946 and 1947.
