Notes on event | At 06.24 hours on 2 April 1943 the Simon Duhamel II, a straggler from convoy TE-20 due to engine problems, was hit amidships by one torpedo from U-755 off Cape d´Alboran and broke in two in a huge explosion. The forepart sank immediately and the stern after four minutes. The only survivor was rescued after two days. | ||
