Notes on event | At 17.08 hours on 7 Feb 1943, HMS LCI(L)-162 was hit by one of two torpedoes from U-596 about 25 miles north-northeast of Mostaganem, Algeria. The vessel disappeared in the explosion and the seven survivors were picked up by HMS LCI(L)-7 and HMS LCI(L)-210, which were en route with the landing craft. | ||
