History Completed in September 1941 as Empire Glade for Ministry of War Transport (MoWT), managed by Blue Star Line Ltd, London. 1943 transferred to manager G. Heyn & Sons Ltd, Belfast.

Post-war:
1945 renamed Inishowen Head for Ulster SS Co Ltd (G. Heyn & Sons Ltd), Belfast. 1962 sold to Greece and renamed Maria N. for Platsani Ltda SA (L. Nomicos). In July 1972 broken up at Istanbul. 
Notes on event

On 28 Nov 1942, U-67 hit the unescorted Empire Glade with gunfire, but the vessel escaped and reached Charleston on 7 December. One of the six gunners aboard was killed.
