Notes on event

At 11.37 hours on 3 Nov 1942, U-160 attacked convoy TAG-18 for the third time west of Grenada and sank the Gypsum Empress and Leda.

The Leda was taken in tow, but on 5 November foundered in shallow waters about 30 miles northwest of Trinidad in 11°12N/62°18W.
