Notes on event | At 03.51 hours on 13 May 1942 the Batna (Master Robert Maxwell Potts) in convoy ONS-92 was torpedoed and sunk by U-94 southeast of Cape Farewell. One crew member was lost. The master, 34 crew members and six gunners were picked up by the British rescue ship Bury (Master Lawrence Edwin Brown OBE) and landed at St.Johns on 16 May. | ||
