Notes on event | At 19.15 hours on 13 December 1939 the unescorted and neutral Mina was hit in the stern by one G7e torpedo from U-57 about 20 miles southeast of Lowestoft and broke in two. The stern part sank immediately and the fore part within 30 seconds. The ship had been missed by a first torpedo at 19.03 hours. |
