Notes on event | At 07.54 hours on 6 Dec 1939, U-31 fired one torpedo at a small steamer and observed how the ship sank immediately after being hit amidships about 90 miles northeast of Blyth. The victim was probably Agu (Master Johannes Lamboth) which had left Tyne on 5 December and was never heard of again. | ||
