Son of Clifford William and Olive Edith Jane Miller, of Brighton, Adelaide, South Australia.
Lyle Clark Miller was great friends with Ray McDonald, who died when HMS Somali sank. Lyle was one of the last three to depart the sinking vessel, and was lucky to be picked up by a trawler standing by. He then saw out the war in the UK and became a Lieutenant, after the war he had a long and productive family and business life back home in Australia.
